Koalas might not be the first animal that comes to mind at Christmas — but they’ve become a powerful symbol of hope for my book The Worst Christmas Weather EVER!
In the run-up to Christmas 2019, devastating wildfires swept across Australia, affecting around 60,000 koalas and destroying huge areas of their natural habitat. Adopting the koala as the book’s mascot felt like the perfect way to remind us all that caring for our planet — and its incredible creatures — matters every single day of the year.
These super-cuddly koalas are made with love and care from 100% recycled polyester, created from plastic waste. They feature:
